The APT Gateway is based in Athlone IT’s Materials Research Institute and is the Applied Polymer Materials access point to Enterprise Irelands Technology Gateway Network. APT works with SME’s and Multinational companies using polymer materials across the medical, composite, recycling and pharmaceutical sectors and is hosting its annual open day on the 8th of September 2016 from 8.30am until 13.00. The event will feature industrial and academic speakers discussing the latest developments in the plastics field. Attendance is free.
Joe Lawless, Head of AIT’s Department of Polymer Engineering is working hard with Lecturers, Research Staff and the Irish polymer Industry to create a new Part-time Level 9 Masters in Polymer Engineering. AIT is seeking feedback from the industry to identify areas which they feel need to be addressed by the course which is planned to have its first intake in September 2016.
The Irish Polymer Industries contribution to the preparation and development of this course will be invaluable & your input will help inform and shape the future modules offered on this programme, thereby ensuring the currency and relevancy of the content. The survey should take no more than ten minutes to complete.
